Wishes pour in for PM Narendra Modi on his birthday

Birthday greetings and wishes have started pouring in from early morning on Monday for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday. Modi turned 68 years old today and will spend his birthday interacting with schoolchildren in his Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi. The prime minister will reach Varanasi and will then head to Narur village, where he will interact with children from a primary school.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday today. "Happy Birthday to our PM, Narendra Modi Ji!" Rahul tweeted, adding, "Wishing him good health and happiness always." President Ram Nath Kovind wished PM Modi "a long life and many years of dedicated service to the people of the country" while Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu said, "India is making rapid strides under his visionary leadership and taking its rightful place in the comity of nations. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life."
